What this covers

These terms apply to dotdash.hr and to reading it. Using the site means accepting them.

They do not govern work we do for anyone. A project is governed by the contract signed for it, and where that contract and this page disagree, the contract wins. Nothing here adds a term to an engagement or takes one away.

02

What is on this site

The pages here describe what we do and what we have built. They are information, not an offer: nothing on this site is a binding proposal, and a price is only a price once it is written into a proposal addressed to you.

Case studies describe real engagements and are marked with who delivered them. Entries that are not yet real work carry a visible placeholder mark and a notice above them, and they describe no client, no system and no result. That mark is the difference between the two, and it is the only thing you should rely on to tell them apart.

Figures are quoted only where they were measured. Where there was no before-and-after measurement, no number is given rather than one being estimated.

We change what is here without notice — that is what a website is. Nothing on it is professional advice for a particular situation; ask, and you will get an answer about your situation.

03

Sending an enquiry

The contact form sends us an email. It does not create a contract, an engagement, or an obligation on either of us, and we may decline any enquiry without giving a reason.

We aim to reply within one business day. That is how we work, not a guarantee you can hold us to — a server that is down or a message a spam filter ate are both possible, which is why the address is published in full and you can write to it directly.

Do not send confidential material through the form. It is an ordinary email in an ordinary mailbox. Once there is something worth protecting, we sign an agreement covering it first.

What happens to what you send is in the privacy notice, and that is the document to read on it.

04

Who owns what

The text, the design, the code and the DotDash name and mark are ours. Read the site, link to it, and quote it with attribution. Do not republish it as your own, and do not use the name or the mark to suggest a connection that does not exist.

The photographs in the header are licensed stock, used under the Pexels licence and reworked for this site; the licence does not pass to anyone taking them from here.

Client names, marks and screenshots belong to those clients and appear with their agreement. Nothing here transfers any right in them.

What a client owns at the end of a project is a question for that project's contract. Our answer, and it is on the home page, is that the client keeps the system.

06

Availability and mistakes

The site is published as it is. We do not promise it is reachable at any given moment, and there is no uptime commitment attached to reading it.

We try to keep it accurate and we correct what we find. If something here is wrong, tell us — that is a faster route to it being fixed than any clause on this page.

We are responsible for what the law says we are responsible for. Nothing here tries to disclaim liability for our own intent or gross negligence, or to reduce rights that a consumer has and cannot sign away.

07

Law and disputes

Croatian law applies, and disputes go to the courts in Croatia. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in.

If something is wrong, write to us first. Almost everything is settled that way, and we would rather answer than be told about it by someone else.

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. We keep no archive of earlier versions — ask, and we will tell you what they said.
